DraftKings API league coverage by dataset

Which leagues each dataset configures, why the sport filter differs between sportsbook, Pick6, DFS and stats, and how to measure current coverage.

Editorial review: · Not a live coverage report

Coverage is per dataset

There is no single list of supported leagues. Sportsbook, Pick6, DFS and statistics each have their own collector and their own sport labels. Check the dataset you plan to build on, and check it again before you depend on a sport that is out of season.

Filter values by dataset, checked 2026-11-03. Native sportsbook uses scope IDs from /api/v1/sportsbook/scopes. Current counts are on /status.

Why the same league has different labels

Labels come from the source behind each dataset. College football is NCAAF in sportsbook rows and CFB in Pick6 and DFS. Soccer is EPL or MLS in sportsbook rows, SOCCER in Pick6 and SOC in DFS. MMA appears as UFC in Pick6 and MMA in DFS. A filter that works on one dataset can return an empty page on another, so keep a small mapping in your code rather than reusing one string.

College football by dataset
# The same league, three filters
curl ".../api/v1/odds?sport=NCAAF&limit=5"
curl ".../api/v1/pick6/projections?sport=CFB&limit=5"
curl ".../api/v1/dfs/slates?sport=CFB&limit=5"

A valid sport string does not establish coverage. The validator checks syntax, so an unknown label usually returns an empty page and still counts as a request.

Sportsbook leagues

As of 2026-11-03, native sportsbook scopes cover New York NFL, NHL, college basketball and college football game lines and New York NHL Shots on Goal, points, assists, saves, goalscorers, power-play points and first-period shots. Read snapshots and streamed changes through the sportsbook endpoints. ESPN-attributed DraftKings moneyline, spread and total observations are also available across eight leagues. Current scope inventory is listed at /api/v1/sportsbook/scopes. Eight leagues are configured: NBA, NFL, NHL, NCAAF, NCAAB, MLB, EPL and MLS. Collection is bounded and rotates events, so not every event is captured on every run.

Separately attributed retained samples can also appear, and some can carry a non-league sport label. Read provenance on the row if the source matters to you.

Pick6 sports and stats

Pick6 coverage is selected sport and category snapshots, so it varies by sport and by stat. The table lists labels seen in captures, not a promise that each is populated today. Filter by sport, then stat, and use the exact stat string from a returned row, such as Receiving Yards or Shots on Goal.

Rows can be retained from an earlier capture, including a whole sport between its slates. A large row count is not a fresh count. Compare stale and observed_at, or read fresh_rows against retained_rows in the coverage response.

DFS sports and statistics

The DFS collector is configured for NBA, NFL, NHL, CFB, CBB, SOC, MMA, GOLF, TEN and LOL, and reads selected draft groups rather than every slate. The sports catalog endpoint lists more sports than the collector captures, so a sport in the catalog does not mean contests or draftables were collected for it.

Independent ESPN statistics cover NBA, NFL and NHL as limited retained game samples, not full seasons. As of 2026-11-03 those samples were captured after the games were played, so they do not show what was known at game time. Statistics accept only sport=NBA, NFL or NHL, and require season.

Box scores attached to observed sportsbook events are a separate resource at /api/v1/context/*. They follow the sportsbook leagues and rotation, not the statistics scope.

Measure it before you build

The coverage endpoint is the machine-readable answer. It accepts no query parameters and returns dfs, sportsbook, sportsbook_by_sport, collectors, pick6 and collection_coverage. One call tells you which scopes hold rows, how old the newest observation is and whether a collector is cooling down.

Measured stored coverage
curl --fail-with-body "https://draftkingsapi.com/api/v1/coverage" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $DRAFTKINGS_API_KEY"
  1. Call /api/v1/coverage and find your sport under each dataset you need.
  2. Check observed_at and last_success, not only record counts.
  3. Request a five-row page with your exact filter and inspect stale.
  4. Open status for capture context in a readable form.
  5. Repeat at a game time you care about. Off-season and off-day results differ.

Try it

curl --fail-with-body "https://draftkingsapi.com/api/v1/coverage" \

Questions

Which leagues does the sportsbook data cover?

NBA, NFL, NHL, NCAAF, NCAAB, MLB, EPL and MLS are configured. Coverage is bounded and rotates events, so measure actual rows with the coverage endpoint.

Why does sport=NCAAF return nothing on Pick6?

Pick6 uses the label CFB for college football. Each dataset has its own labels, and an unrecognized label returns an empty page rather than an error.

Do statistics cover every league in the sportsbook dataset?

No. The statistics endpoints accept NBA, NFL and NHL only, as limited retained samples. Context endpoints attach box scores to observed sportsbook events in more leagues, under different rules.

Where do I find current row counts?

Use the coverage endpoint, the status page or the measured coverage report. This guide avoids hard-coded counts because they change with every capture.
